Love is the torment of sorrow

when I realize I've hurt you

Love's the rhapsody of joy

Life is such a wonder

At civilization crossroad we ponder

The enigma of our humanity

baffle me with our history

With a sense of value awakening

our moral fabric is in the making

Your tender love in caring peace

remains as my human puzzle centerpiece

She was knifed at the stem

and removed in a barrow

She cried out for solace

She was sorted into a basket

lay idle in the market for a shilling

There caught the eye of a young man

and bought her for his darling

He showered her with a mist

trimmed off thorns

Tied on a pink ribbon

humming a love song

The rose was a special gift

for her who was soul mate

On their favorite sandy beach

tonight's a special date

Ocean front table for two

candle light by window laces

Nature is made for lovers

as sunset upon their faces

Blessed be the day they met

it was love at first sight

She is ever more beautiful

long hair glowing in twilight

Quality time with a loved one

holds eternity in an hour

Asked how much he loves her

he answered with a flower

They danced on the beach

to a moonlight sonata

One hand she rested on him

the other held the flower

There he kissed her the first time

a moment lasted without end

For they love each other

like waves upon the sand

She rested by his shoulder

the rose upon her hair

Nightingale serenading

a lullaby in the air

Three shadows embraced in moonlight

they became part of each other

Rhapsody of endless love

a commitment is forever

Now she found the calling of life

to embody love in words and action

Be immortalized in a moment of romance

and living it out with a passion

blossoming lilies of the valleys

Once I have a bouquet who listens

The mountain loves the sunset colours

hugs an ocean glittering with silvers

a cherry blossom first notices spring

the news sends Weeping Willow dancing

And now with many years of hindsight

some of my beliefs turned out despite

At times I wish I'd changed my opinion

sometimes I should have really held on

How time plays on our fate

the past bears on our faith

Good and bad are a jumble

right & wrong a fine swivel

Last night in a cool and misty shower

went searching for a fallen wild flower

There she was standing alone smiling

sending fragrances sweet compelling

逸寄前塵是還空

東籬瀚墨淡亦濃

瀟湘煙雨銷梧桐

昨夜落紅應無數

獨自一朵紫若彤

斗室芝蘭在其中

I cannot bear the sight

first Autumn leaf in flight

when nature sheds a tear

in protest of scattering life

As the dancing maples beautify

they set the wilderness on fire

Outpouring of nature's passion

frees my heart's desire

Let us toast this moment

for leaves have never fallen

They simply embrace the good earth

as my love hugs you like a poem

平生不忍葉飄零

灑向人間道不平

浪跡江湖聊共醉

天涯陌路也留情

Breeze mingles with cherry blossom

dances with willows to Spring rhythm

Flowers strive onto my boat

surf the waves of turquoise coat

Snow has it all covered

still the mountain keeps its true color

Moonlight over our fishing trip

I'm home with a lullaby on my lips

風在春桃翠柳間

花落畫舫碧濤翻

雪染寒山仍固我

月照漁舟晚唱還

No attention to the evening breeze

fleeting herons by weary geese

I believe in true love everlasting

with whom my heart's destined to unite in

Once upon a Spring shower in moonlight

scattering flowers throughout the night

And yet my dream shall endeavor

for her to be in my arms forever

Embracing waves of passion unsettled

till the moon upon the sea of love calmly cradled

Twilight leaning by bookcases

smiling in laces

Glittering on

whispered till dawn

O togetherness so mellow

makes parting such deep sorrow

闌珊燈火私語共白晝

Remember September

I was afraid to look out the window

for fear of seeing the first fallen leaf

Then I saw the maple dancing in the air

the flaming colour of the deep Autumn

sets the wilderness ablaze in passion

Now I realize the trees have not shaded

rather it was the outpour of nature's vigor

reaching out and embracing its creation

Remember September

when you left me dear

my heart went with you

Now I realize my heart was never broken

rather you have brought me and my love

across the oceans and over the continent

Wonder where have you been today

then I receive your letter and realize

that you have always been with me

緬懷十月

我再不敢遠眺窗外

為不忍見第一片落葉

無奈漫天楓葉

便是我內心自焚的時候

原來楓樹並無飄落

緬懷十月

妳離開的時候

亦帶走我部份的心

原來我亦沒有失落

卻是我澎湃的心潮

時刻想念妳在何方

今天收到來信

始知原來

妳一直在我身邊

In this vast landscape and population

people rush to different destinations

The busy journey of life

is full of strangers and strife

We are but waterlilies drifting

the wind may blow us a meeting

Yet we don't befriend each other

just small talk and no further

Sometimes we do find a friend

wishing good times never to end

But surely as the wind blows

we may again part by morrow

Yet today we have become friendly

amidst thousands of other lilies

Even a moment of togetherness

shelters our journeys in solace

When two hearts eclipse

they shine in lasting bliss

Like living water in an oasis

nourishing and precious

When we are apart

let's quietly take heart

I pursue my mission

you your vision

Pray often in remembrance

bare our faith in vigilance

We have not met by chance

friendship our lives enhances

May the breeze care for us wanderers

bring us soon again together

Bathing in a sunset mellow and soft

simply pick up from where we left off


