What is Web2Doc?

Web2Doc is a Windows program that download HTML pages and convert them to DOC file format that can be viewed on a PalmPilot. This program can only convert text - there is no graphic support. There is no frame support in the current version.

The HTML pages converted will save to the local hard disk ready for HotSync to PalmPilot. You will need a DOC reader to read the .prc file.

By default, the DOC files are saved under the same directory as the Web2Doc program. But if you have Palm Desktop installed, you can specify which user will get the files. If set, the DOC files are saved under [Palm Desktop]\[User Directory]\Install. And the user can just press the hot-sync button and... bingo!

Installation

Download (Beta 3) [869 KB] and unpack it. Run setup to install. If you have older version installed, it is recommended that you uninstall it before installation.
(There is a bug in the installation program of Beta 1. The uninstall program may be missing. If so, just delete the directory that contains Web2Doc.)
