Another of Blackburn's Irish internationals, big things have been expected from this
young man for some time now.

Was handed his international chance without too much first team experience under his
belt, but he has always shown the class to succeed at the highest level.

Has proved himself to be a quality performer with the Irish national team as well as
Rovers.

Skilful and pacy, he always makes himself available for the ball, even on off days. Has
made a trademark of scoring spectacular goals.

His first season in the first-team in 1997-8 saw him tear apart some of the best
full-backs in the league.

He lost form the following season but looked to be back to his best towards the end of
1999-2000.
