HONG KONG REPORT - August '97
FROM THE HITHER CRITTERS

Well folks, we are in the million dollar view for only two more weeks, and then it is off to a very Chinese part of Hong Kong: Sheung Wan. We will get pics on-line of the new flat as as soon as possible! In the meantime, however, here are some shots of Cee Cee having a shower.

Lately Cee Cee has gotten into the habit of investigating the shower stall post-shower, but in this case she accidentally made her way into the shower stall in the pre-shower. Tess decided she might as well shampoo her (not with Jif!!) ... camera was then passed to Tess and the story unfolded...

MEANWHILE -- PREPARING FOR THE BIG MOVE...

Cats are smart and Cee Cee and Olivia are no exception. They figured out early in the game that something strange was going on. This meant that Cee Cee had more things to play with -- empty boxes, open cupboards, items waiting to be packed. But Olivia, on the opposite end of the spectrum was quite distraught at all the activity and impending upheaval of her little home.

Well, maybe I exaggerate a little. Here we see Olivia quite content despite all of the packing and other activities that dominated our August. Cee Cee on the other hand-


THE BIG MOVING DAY ARRIVES...

Even though we had several weeks to move things into the new flat, there was still a lot to move on the actual day. Tess had to work in the morning. Here she stands at the bus stop on Bonham Road for the last time, and then boards the 40M bus. The picture was taken from the kitchen window of the old flat.

Both of these pictures were taken from one of the west windows of the old flat. The red arrow points to the same building in both shots. The right hand picture was taken with a zoom lens (window frame at left of the picture left in for perspective!). The purple arrow points to our new building which is right on the water, overlooking the harbour.
