Traditionally, attackers and visitors to Amber Fort
could only arrive on elephant back.
The steep ride took five minutes.

The view from the top of Amber Fort, above, was breathtaking.

Two shots from Fort Agra, you can see the Taj Mahal in the background. Here Emporer Shah Jahan, who commissioned the building of the Taj Mahal, was imprisoned for nearly eight years at the request of his evil, power hungry son.

"Spirograph
Man" makes his daily living by creating Spirograph designs. As you
can see by the crowds around him, his talent is much admired.
A little

Delhi
Delhi
Jaipur...
It was
next to impossible to get into the shanty towns and take pictures there,
so I set up my camera on the edge of a smelly canal and tried to get the
clearest shots possible.
The
lovely and talented VERONICA FERMAN, pride and joy of the Canadian
Embassy and belle of Delhi, takes time each week to nourish her soul with
dance and music lessons from Guru. This shot shows some of her home, which
is large, wonderfully decorated and has a real ambience. Visit Veronica
and learn of her daily encounters with stoned painters, silent plumbers,
amahs whose shoes get thrown in the garbage and her exciting connections
to the black market underworld. ("I have WHISKY.")
India was an incredible visit and obviously, these pictures do not do what I saw justice. The sights portrayed by the film should be accompanied by the unforgettable smells or sounds that were occurying at the time the image was imprinted.
Thank you for visiting and witnessing part of my journey.
